Sarah started reading The Chronicles of Narnia to Zoe tonight. Zoe is completely enthralled. I sat on love seat opposite the couch where Sarah was reading to Zoe. It was good to hear the story again after so many years, but it was more fun watching Zoe react.
We decided to take CS Lewis' advice about the book order. We are reading the chronicles in chronilogical order starting with The Magician's Nephew.
Zoe only stopped Sarah once in the first two chapters when Polly and Digory were in the crawl space next to the attic. She asked "Why didn't they ask their Mommy or Daddy (if they may explore the crawl space)?"
Sarah paused for about a second as Polly opened the door to Uncle Andrew's study. Zoe couldn't wait even that long to find out what was behind the door and demanded "what?"
We couldn't leave her hanging at the end of the first chapter after Polly had disappeared with no explanation, so Sarah read her chapter two. Zoe learned that Polly and Digory are in another world. The last thing she asked me at bed time was "What if it's a scary world?"

Chase sent me some more Wren photos. Go see them. Some are edited versions of the earlier photos. Some are all new. They are like the episode of Diff'rent Strokes at the end of each season where they flash back to old episodes with new footage in between the old clips.
I am finally an uncle. Yesterday at 5:15 PST, Kate birthed my first niece, Elizabeth Lawrence Roden - Wren to her friends. She was 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21.5 inches long.
Wren shares a birthday with Peyton Manning, Mase, Steve McQueen and Houdini.

What is a father to think when he sees his four-year-old daughter dancing in the shower to "In Da Club"? As soon as it came on the radio she started waving her hands in the air like she just doesn't care. Sarah says she learned the dance from Paula Abdul on her "Zoe's Dance Moves" video. No matter where she learned to dance like that, it is disconcerting to see your daughter dancing in the shower to 50 cent.
